In the year 1972, CEYSHIP was incorporated as an Organisation which would cater to the growing demands of ships which call Colombo for the purpose of procuring provisions and other essentials. A family owned concern, CEYSHIP complimented it efforts by being a Ship chandler to the associate companies of CEYSHIP, who used to provide full husbandry agency functions in all Sri Lankan ports.

Over the years, CEYSHIP gained recognition for being a reliable ship chandler, and the in house agency functions helped CEYSHIP to provide a truly value added service to vessel's calling Sri Lanka, a total package service. With our experienced staff and the international connections with Greek ship owning and ship management companies, CEYSHIP in the 1980's increased its primary business of Ship Supplying to a considerable level.

CEYSHIP gained popularity of being a reliable service provider to vessel's calling Sri Lanka. Gradually CEYSHIP concentrated very hard on developing its business activities, from being a traditional Ship Chandler to being a service provider of many Shipping related services under our group operations, In 1998 CEYSHIP scaled its shipping operations from a group perspective and brought all its shipping activities into one integrated service.
